In order to increase battery capacity or to increase redundancy multiple strings of batteries can be assembled. The following rules apply.

• A maximum of 4 identical battery strings is recommended
  
  
• The parallel connection of the strings shall be made only at the terminal connector or on the bus bar.
  
  
• The cables from the batteries to the point of parallel connection shall be of same electrical resistance.
  
  
• The cells and monoblocs should normally be of the same make, age and capacity.
