Racks

Oerlikon Stationary Batteries Ltd. can supply battery stands and racks optimised for the Compact-Power™ batteries. For this purpose a computer calculation program enables the rapid selection of the appropriate geometry and dimensional drawings together with expected floor loadings.

Racks are available from sturdy steel stubbing with a powder paint coating and meet the 4 kV insulation requirement. The racks and stands are delivered as a kit. The assembly of a rack is extremely fast and only small single sized wrench is necessary.

Cabinets

Compact-Power™ cells and monoblocs are suited for installation in cabinets in an office environment due to reduced hydrogen emission, absence of acid fumes and other nuisances.

Battery cabinets require however attention in terms of electrical safety and adequate heat dispersal. Again the European Specification EN 5001:1:1993 gives the necessary background for planning and operation.

Accu Oerlikon can supply a selected range of cabinets. Compact-Power™ cells and monoblocs can, of course, also be installed in customer's cabinets. In this case again an intensive dialog with our Technical Sales department is advisable so to assure proper installation and operation procedures.
